Abramennone – Mesh Tapestry

Named after the portmanteau of the Italian names Abraham and Agamemnon – male characters from different mythological traditions who were both asked to sacrifice their children – this tapestry is an ironic, visionary reinterpretation of those myths. Vibrant colors add further personality to the subject, where a half-bird half-man creature (Abramennone) is depicted wielding a sword. Is he taking an oath or threatening gods?
