Cartoccio Vase by Pietro Chiesa

Playfully evoking the shape of a wrinkled paper bag, this vase was designed by master glassmaker Pietro Chiesa in 1932, when he was the co-artistic director of FontanaArte with Gio Ponti. The shape is obtained by folding the white glass when hot and is available also in blue. Due to its handmade construction, every piece is a unique work of art.
