This splendid set of six soup plates in porcelain is part of the Catene collection, designed by Italian master Gio Ponti in 1926 when he was the creative director of Richard Ginori. Named after the stunning chain-like decoration gracing its rim, this design is here rendered with a black hue that strikingly contrasts with the white background, creating a timeless color combination along with the gold band running around the perimeter of the plate. For a cohesive effect, it is possible to combine this set with the others in the same series of refined tableware.
