Ettore Sottsass Illuminated Painting

This striking painting of Italian architect and designer is part of a limited edition of 20 pieces by designer Nuala Goodman, included in the series ‘Portraits from Milan’ of charismatic figures from the world of Italian design. This mixed-media piece features a photographic reproduction on a backlit polyester fabric panel with an aluminum frame, led lighting, and dimmer switch. The textural surface of the painting lets the figure emerge softly in vivid details. This piece is part of Artemest’s “Stranger Pinks” event for Fuorisalone at Milan Design Week 2018.
