Fluid Green Marble Vase

At once a vase and a candle or fragrance holder, Fluid sits at the intersection of design and craftsmanship, form and ornament, production and uniqueness, with a strong focus on sustainable processes. Made using the traditional slip casting technique with earthenware in plaster molds, its rounded shape is inspired by the ancient gestures of marbling, reinterpreted to highlight both the fluidity of the decoration and the porous nature of ceramics. The red tonal patterns on white earthenware are created using a marbling technique with water-based pigments in an algae-derived solution, alternating with areas glazed in a glossy transparent crystalline finish. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, with natural variations occurring within the decorative family shown.
