Gatta Tapestry

Part of the Velvet Lagoon Project, this stunning tapestry was exhibited at the Venice Biennale. The refined soft silk velvet canvas is dyed with blue and azure pigments and is painted by hand using techniques of the Venetian tapestry tradition depicting a majestic catfish. Assembled on a wooden frame, the piece is enriched with mouth-blown Murano glass details.
