Gattona lounge chair by Nigel Coates

The Gattona lounge chair by Nigel Coates is designed for the lounge area. The round shape of the seat, amplified by the upholstery and by the particularly soft horse fur covering, is inspired by that of a cat with its soft hair and chubby outline, while the silhouette of the back evokes its face and ears. Gattone’s feet – made of walnut heartwood – are low compared to the thickness of the seat and its shape, imitating a Baroque style of classic dining-room chairs.
