Icaro Polychrome Sculpture

Showcased at the Museo de Arte de Rio Grande do Sul in Brasil, this splendid majolica artwork was handcrafted by the expert hands of artist Mirkò, who was inspired by the Greek myth of Icarus – the young man who drowned after flying too close to the sun with his wings made of wax. Fluid traits and bright, top-quality enamels distinguish the piece, part of the artist’s Terra Mater personal exhibition.
