Lune Tree-Light Sconce

Part of the Lune series, inspired by the symbiotic relationship between planets and their satellites (“lune” in Italian means moons), this piece uses the ethereal material of borosilicate glass, mouth-blown using traditional techniques into three transparent shades that seem to orbit one another, like planets. Each sphere is pierced by a brass element, that also creates the structure of the piece. The brass is brushed with a wax coating to slow down the natural oxidation process, thus creating an alluring finish that ages gracefully over time. The three lightbulbs are 24V LED with 4W (equivalent of a traditional 30W), 300 lumens, 2700K.
