Migrante Pen Drawing on Paper

Minutely traced with a pen on wrapping paper, this singular drawing belongs to the 2022 “Corale Corviale” artistic residence program celebrating the value of migrants. The deft drawing of an owl is flanked by a stamp with the Italian for migrant, and underscores the irony how one of Roma’s deteriorating public housing projects is build atop where a pantheistic temple once stood which celebrated animals.
