This splendid artisan rug – hand-knotted in Nepal using local knotting techniques – owes its dynamic polychrome pattern to the hypnotizing design of test cards from early TV broadcasts. Its myriad of knots is achieved by painstakingly blending New Zealand wool and bamboo fibers on a fine cotton warp and weft. The fleece is about 8 mm high.
