Mosaic Vase

The unique decoration that graces this classical-inspired vase is applied by hand and inspired by Byzantine mosaics. Developed by Sambuco, this technique involves etching the ceramic surface with a steel tool to create a series of tiles that are hand painted, creating a splendid floral and abstract design with two, central majestic peacocks. For an opulent final effect, pure gold is hand applied before a third and final firing in the kiln. This superb vase makes a well-received housewarming gift.
