The René Bistrot Tables feature a timeless marble top, shown here in Nero Marquinia, a heritage stone that is no longer quarried, shattered into a constellation of stone shards sealed together with a luminous gold seam. Lissoni borrowed the technique from the Japanese art of Kintsugi, a method of repairing broken ceramics that considers its cracks as part of its life cycle.
