Roma 105 – EUR Polaroid Lift

Part of a series dedicated to Rome and counting 12 different subjects, this piece results from the careful transposition on hand-cut cotton paper of the emulsion layer of a polaroid that captures a glimpse of the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana building in the EUR district. Tears and ripples are a natural consequence of the delicate impression process that attests to its frail beauty. It comes mounted on a purple-bottom passe-partout (cm 20×20).
