Poetic metaphor for the worrying status of endangered turtles, this one-off decorative panel combines the shimmering quality of gold and silver leaf to the dynamism of a minutely hand-carved plastered design. Turtles are captured as seemingly suck down a vortex, which consists of hexagonal elements with curved, deformed profiles for rendering an hypnotizing effect of authentic movement. A final layer of oil colors seals the design. The artwork is delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
